At Nice Netball, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment for ladies of all ages (18+) and abilities! Our mission is to promote fitness, friendship, and fun through netball, ensuring everyone feels included and valued. Nice Netball aims to provide a fun & safe space for ladies to enjoy themselves and have a giggle all whilst getting fitter at the same time!

Abi - Southport Club Ambassador

Abi is the first port of call for anything on or off court related. She will be a listening ear when you need it!
In Abi’s words:
‘Hello! My name is Abi and I’m 23.
I am a student nurse due to qualify in 2026 and I also work part time as a waitress.
I played netball all throughout school and played for Wales & west of England in the Air Cadets too! After school I had my son and lost touch with netball (and every physical exercise😅), now that he’s 3, I am finally back! 🏐
As most of you will know, life can get very heavy at times and I use netball as my little escape from reality. I want to empower other women to feel they can get a little escape too!💕
I am here to support, chat and help resolve any issues you may be facing (this can be personal or netball related).

Chloe - Penwortham (Monday’s) Club Ambassador

Chloe will be your first port of call for anything on or off court related. She will be a listening ear when you need it! Chloe is a fantastic fit for the role as she has been a teacher for 17 years including working within the pastoral hub and has three children aged 9, 7 and 1.🥳

In Lucy’s words:
’Hi I’m Lucy!
I'm an account manager for my day job which requires me to resolve issues, communicate with clients and try to avoid any escalations, so I have the skills to be able to do that at the club, I'm also mum to 2 boys who fight a lot so I am very used to the conflict side of things! I would consider myself a good communicator and approachable too!’

Micha is a fantastic fit for the role as she is already part of the freedom to speak up team at Bolton Hospital, where she is a trainee nurse associate and soon to be a qualified nurse associate!🥳

‘Hi everyone! I'm Hannah. I have been a Probation Officer for the last 11 years. Prior to this I was a drug & alcohol worker - I have lots of experience working with people. My skills include- having compassion, listening, & helping to solve problems.
I love fitness, health & wellbeing.
I have 2 daughters age 15 & 9 years. I have a passion for helping people & will be an ear to listen to anything life throws your way’.

‘Hi everyone! I'm Fats, short for Fatima 👋🏽
I've recently joined and began playing netball last year after having a 30 year break 😬 This will hopefully explain my crazy antics on court 🫣
Bit about me, I have worked for the Police for over 25 years and my experience is largely in safeguarding vulnerable females. I'm currently a serious violence co-ordinator based in the violence reduction network at county hall. My job essentially is bringing various agencies together to support children on the cusp of sexual or criminal exploitation using a trauma informed approach. Getting professionals to talk to each other to help children before they are criminalised. Trying to nip certain behaviours in the bud at the earliest stage possible before it escalates.
I hope as a club ambassador I'm able to apply the same principles and between us we create a positive environment and a sisterhood of playing with each other not against. I am that annoying person who always asks the person I'm marking what their name is and introduce myself too.
I want to have fun - win, lose or draw. 🤗
I love playing but also watching you ladies play from those gazelles to those hilarious mishaps 😂God knows I have some balance issues!
My most important role in life is being mum to two boys who I fondly refer to as Liam and Noel Gallagher. It's rock and roll everyday! But soooo hard in equal measures.
I returned to college over the last two years and completed a counselling course because I wanted to learn to be a better listener and maybe a career change. It was during this course that I realised my lack of self care and how best to manage my anxiety - something most of us live with. I didn't become a counsellor because i realised I needed to do me and have fun again not a career change! I did however learn lots of skills which I'd like to apply going forward including Netball 😊
Due to my background and experience not many things phase me. Anything you do share will be in confidence and be assured you will receive nothing but a non judgemental ear.
